The state as an institution for the formation of political pictures of the world

The article examines the process of forming political pictures of the world from the point of view of the institutional approach. Political pictures of the world are understood as systems of images, views and actions expressed in political institutions that interconnectingly reflect the strategic directions of political, economic, social, environmental and technological development. According to the author, the main picture-forming political institution is the state. Based on the analysis of scientific works of leading researchers of the concept of world view, the author shows the dynamics of state participation in the process of constructing political pictures of the world, starting from archaic societies to the modern stage of development. Such a symbiosis of general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis and comparative analysis allows us to substantiate the role and function of the state as the main institutional source of political pictures of the world. The author shows that the information and analytical activity of the state, implementing through think tanks, expert organizations and the media play the main role in the construction of political pictures of the world.
