Citizens' willingness to digital interaction with government agencies and institutions

The article presents the results of sociological monitoring (2022-2024) aimed at studying the attitude of the Russian population to the digitalization of public administration. The objectives of the study were to identify readiness of citizens representing various socio-demographic groups of the Russian population for digital interaction with government agencies and institutions. The monitoring results showed that respondents began to declare their full readiness for digital interaction with the state more widely. At the same time, every second respondent still expresses willingness to use digital technologies in cooperation with government agencies and institutions, but not on all issues. This concerns the representatives of socially vulnerable groups of the population (older age groups, people with disabilities, lower educational status, etc.). The key obstacles to the wider use of digital technologies in interaction with government agencies and institutions are the presence of various risks of digitalization, which are noted by citizens, such as the possibility of leakage of personal data, excessive digital control by the state, the risks of instability of state information systems, etc.
