The subject of analysis is a number of sources of Arab and English-speaking scientists and specialists involved in research in this area. The descriptive-analytical method forms the basis of the work done. The results of the study consist in revealing the basic techniques and trends used in the grammatical constructions of Arabic and English newspaper headlines in order to save space on the newspaper page and create an expressive and eye-catching newspaper headline. The grammatical features inherent in the newspaper headlines of both languages are highlighted. It may be useful in studying the grammar of Arabic and English languages.
