The article discusses the features of the organization of space-time concepts of the town of Sorochinets, as well as their implementation in the context of creating a "cursed" place in the story of Nikolai Gogol "Sorochinskaya fair". Reviewed borders blur with the comparison of the realities of the everyday and surreal spaces. Topos "cursed" place becomes in the story a two-dimensional space in which there is an interaction of infernal and real worlds that are cyclical in chronotopic terms.
