The article describes the legislative regulation of the subjects of promotional activities and its change over the past decade. Identified participants and subjects of promotional activities. These include: advertiser, advertiser, advertising distributor, sponsors, anti-trust authorities, advertising agencies and self-regulatory organizations. Considered the duties of subjects of promotional activities. Also made a classification of subjects on two dominant grounds. In the course of the analysis, it was revealed that the laws and regulations of promotional activities are fuzzy, vague, and specific responsibilities are scattered across individual articles or standards.
