Humanities university in the system of "northern dimension": problems, resources and prospects

In the article necessity and regularity of cooperation between universities within the framework of "northern dimension" is proved. The process of internationalization of higher education in the aspect of humanitarisation and forming of Barents- identity is regarded. Some forms of international co-operation between higher educational establishments in the North are described on the example of Murmansk State Humanities University.
