Formation processes of sunflower high oleic lines at breeder seed production

Particularities of oleic acid content variation in sunflower inbred line VK 508 after ВС7 generation at stabilizing selection were studied. It is ascertained that it is necessary to self-pollinate breeding material additionally during at least three generation for stabilization of the trait. This work resulted in increasing of oleic acid content in sunflower inbred line VK 508 from 75.1-78.0 to 89.2-93.0 %.
