A character of seed formation processes in nurseries of breeders and foundation seeds production for sunflower confectionary variety SPK

The researches were conducted at the All-Russian research institute of oil crops by the name of Pustovoit V.S., Krasnodar, Russia, in 2015-2017. A purpose of the research was to ascertain peculiarities of display of the main economic valuable traits in confectionary sunflower variety SPK when selecting the promising families during their studying in nurseries of progenies estimation. During vegetative period, we carried out the all phenological observations and biometric measures due to common for sunflower breeding and seeds growing methods (Pustovoit, 1967). We determined oil content in seeds by a method of nuclear-magnetic resonance on the NMR-analyzer АМV-1006 М using the State Standard R 8.620-2006, 1000 seeds weight - by the State Standard 12042-80. As indicators of variability we used middle, minimal and maximal meanings of trait; a scope of variability was determined.
