Character of changes of lung ventilation function when combined with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and arterial hypertension

Objective: to investigate performance of external respiration function (FER) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with associated arterial hypertension (AH). Materials and methods: spirometry was performed in male patients with isolated COPD, with isolated AG and the combination of these diseases (n = 230). Results: in COPD patients FEV1 and FEV1 / FVC indices are evidence of their essential and significant reduction at increasing severity of the disease, especially in presence of AH. Findings: presence of comorbidity and severity of COPD worsen FER indices.
