Pattern of gist reading disorders of schoolchildren with mental retardation

The article deals with problem of teaching communicative reading, pointing possible difficulties of its developing with pupils with mental retardation. The author presents research results of the gist reading by the schoolchildren with mental retardation. According to the specifics of perception of the basic content of the read text the author analyzes groups of errors typical for persons with mental retardation and makes assumptions of their reasons. The results of answers to the text-based questions and possibility to select the keywords allow the author to distinguish levels of the gist reading skill of pupils with a type of dysonto-genesis under consideration.
