Characteristics of accidents involving children

The problem of road accidents, due to their large number, as well as the severity of the consequences, in our country remains relevant for many years. Special attention, for known reasons, the legislator, law enforcement officer, legal scholars pay accidents involving children. Against the background of the General favorable trend of decrease in road accidents involving children, accident rates for certain categories of road users remain high, in some cases, the statistics records negative changes in the dynamics of such indicators. On the basis of statistical material in the article the modern distinctive features of road traffic accidents involving children are investigated. The main indicators of accidents in road transport (the number of road accidents, the number of deaths and injuries) are analyzed. The starting point of the characteristic was the role of the child in traffic - passenger, pedestrian or driver. The authors explain the reasons for the identified trends and patterns, focus on the features of the victim behavior of minors, which led to the accident.
