Features of the labour functioning market in the Ulyanovsk region

One of the most important parts of modern market economy in all countries is the labour market. The role of the labour market is extremely high due to the fact that the majority of the economically active population in any country, selling their labour, earn an income thanks to it. The labour market is prone to constant changes. Both market factors and local authorities can influence it. The paper aims to characterize the mechanism of functioning of the labour market in the Ulyanovsk region, to investigate the interaction of its elements. Statistical, analytical and forecasting methods were used. To increase the objectivity of the conclusions, the materials presented on official websites of the Federal State Statistics Service, the government of the Ulyanovsk region, the Pension Fund and others were analyzed.
