The article examines characteristics of military officers encroaching military property and causing damage to the state. The author gives his definition of an offender and outlines typical causes of committing offences leading to economic damage to the army forces. The conducted research enables the author to suggest the measures aiming to prevent military officers’ negative behaviour and organize compensation.
