The article analyzes the reasons why students applied to the Psychological Clinic of St. Petersburg State University during the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes in the content of students' psychological problems due to the pandemic are discussed. The pandemic and self-isolation led to problems related to distance education adaptation and adaptation to living together with whom students were previously with only part of the time (e.g. dorm roommates). Relationships with parents of students who have returned to their homes have intensified. The number of appeals for psychological aid increased by 30% compared to the period before the pandemic. The number of requests for personal problems related to self-concept, dissatisfaction with oneself, loneliness, and uncertainty about the future has increased. The number of inquiries related to the search for the meaning of life, the main priorities in life, and value preferences have increased. A sharp increase in inquiries related to depressive and anxiety disorders draws special attention. The changed nature of the inquiries may indicate the main psychological problems that students encountered during the pandemic.
