Characteristics of sunflower lines achenes on main agriculturally valuable traits

With the purpose to choose the most perspective lines for hybrids breeding, the main valuable for breeding traits of sunflower line (VNIIMK breeding) achenes were researched. The following lines of oil direction were selected for future work: maternal VK680B, VK905B, VK932B and paternal VK911 (with high oleic acid content). They are differed with high oil content (46.2-50.5%) and average 1000 seed weight (48.7-58.9 g). Also there can be interested two maternal lines of confectionary direction VK734B and VK900B with low huskness (20.7-21.2%) and average oil content (44.6-46.3%).
