Properties of microorganisms' strains participating in bioremediation processes

On the analysis of tinctorial, morphological and biochemical properties two strains of hydrocarbon-oxidizing microorganisms were identified. The optimal temperature for maximal biomass production of each strain was defined. The impact of organic and mineral components of nutrient medium on microbial population growth was studied in submerged cultivation. Potential use of the strains for elimination of the soil and fresh water oil pollution is considered.
