Characteristics of the modern legal regulation of issues of public succession

In this article, the author characterizes the modern legal regulation of public succession. Currently, the Russian legislator pays great attention to consolidating the continuity of Russian statehood. The purpose of the study is to identify the main features inherent in legal regulation in the field of public succession. The main method used by the author is a comprehensive analysis of the legal norms in force in this area. In the end, the author comes to the conclusion that in the Russian legal system there is no unity and certainty of concepts in this area.
