Characteristics of sociophobic reactions in patients with paranoid schizophrenia

This article deals with the characteristics of social phobia in the schizophrenia. As part of the work, a comprehensive study of the features of sociophobic reactions in patients with paranoid schizophrenia was carried out, as well as the features of sociophobic reactions in patients with paranoid schizophrenia were studied in comparison with other forms of schizophrenia. Using several methods, the study revealed significant differences between the compared groups in terms of social anxiety, avoidance, and the desire to overcome anxiety. Also, significant differences were revealed in terms of fear of negative assessment and fear of rejection in expert situations. The data obtained indicate a possible relationship of sociophobic reactions in schizophrenic patients with negative symptoms in the clinical picture, such as apathy, affective flattening, as well as a decrease in social activity, leading to the specificity of the morphological structure of sociophobic reactions in different variants of the course of schizophrenia and the duration of the disease. The peculiarities of psychogenesis in this type of disorder are the specifics of the interaction of direct and feedback determinants that create the unity of the clinical picture in the transformation of morphology and bring new qualities to the somatopsychic balance, which leads to a change in the parameters of mental manifestations.
