Characteristic features of social policy in the USSR between 1930 and 1953

The article focuses on the problem of the social type formation of the Russian state during the Soviet period of its history. A retrospective study of state social policy is a necessary part of the analysis of the current state of affairs in this field. The author examines various aspects of social policy in the country from the 1930s until Stalin's demise in 1953. Particular attention is paid to the characteristics of social policy in the post-war period. It is emphasized that the social policy of the USSR, especially in the post-war years, was in direct dependence on the political currents of the parties in the sphere of the industrial development of the state, and the social security of citizens was of a secondary character, subordinated to the tasks of preparing for military operations, mobilizing all the resources of the country for victory over Fascism and post-war reconstruction. The research examines the implementation of the social objectives faced by the Russian state during the Soviet period and the impact of the results achieved in this area on the standard of living of the country's population. Causes for the problematic aspects in this area are also analyzed.
