At the present stage, quail farming is a relatively young, promising, developing branch of poultry farming. Studies of many scientists have established that organic dietary supplements based on high-tech processing of lowland peat are activators and restorers of the gastrointestinal microflora of animals and birds, which leads to improved assimilation of feed and increased production. At the same time, there are no works on the study of qualitative indicators in the scientific literature available to us. In this regard, it is important to conduct research on the feed additive “Rostodarˮ and study its effect on the chemical composition and nutritional value of the meat of quails of the Radonezhsky breed for meat production. The experiments were conducted in the vivarium of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology of the Omsk State Agrarian University, as well as in the educational and scientific laboratory of “Veterinary and Sanitary expertise, biological safety, veterinary sanitation and zoo hygieneˮ. During the experiment, the chemical composition of white and red meat was studied. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of a feed additive based on humic acids on the chemical composition and nutritional value of Radonezhsky quail meat. In connection with the purpose of the study, the following tasks were solved: the chemical composition of white and red meat was studied, and the nutritional and energy value of meat was determined by calculation. The scheme of conducting scientific experience included the formation of four groups-analogues of the Radonezhsky quail for meat production. Each group consisted of 30 birds. The conditions of keeping, feeding and watering in cages were the same for all groups of quails, there was also free access to water and feed. After 42 days, the slaughter was carried out and samples of white and red meat from each group were taken by the method of analogues. As a result of the experiment, it was noted that the use of feed additives in quail feeding improves the chemical composition and nutritional value of the pectoral and femoral muscles of quails.
