Chemotherapy of locoregional recurrence of gastric cancer

Clinical trial results of the original chemotherapy technique for unresectable regional recurrence of gastric cancer were presented. A total of 5 patients were treated. It was shown that the treatment was well tolerated. The most common adverse events were grade I-II radiation-induced reactions. The treatment was accomplished by the marked palliative effect (the pain control and recovery of passing the food through the digestive system) and contributed to life prolongation. Computed tomography examination has a key significance for defining indications to the given treatment modality as well as to the assessment of its efficacy.
