Тема хирургического лечения разрывов большой грудной мышцы и ее сухожилия практически не освещена в отечественной литературе. По этой причине представляется актуальным провести анализ существующих литературных источников с целью определения диагностического алгоритма, показаний к оперативному лечению, хирургической тактики, послеоперационного реабилитационного протокола, имеющихся послеоперационных рисков. В статье приведена краткая историческая справка, выполнен обзор анатомии и физиологии, диагностики, классификации, консервативного и оперативного подхода в лечении разрывов большой грудной мышцы и ее сухожилия.
