The article is devoted to the specifics of Oriental holistic body practices. Among them, the authors focus on yoga as a teaching of historical, cultural, socio-political, civilizational integrity and Chinese bodily practices. At the same time, the body is represented as a basic element of the identity structure of the culture of the East. It is emphasized that bodily practices are based on a special philosophy, formed on the basis of a peculiar understanding of the relationship between man and higher powers, which provides an emphasis on the simultaneous development of the physical and spiritual shell of the subject. It is noted that the main bodily practices of eastern cultures are similar, despite the significant differences in culture and way of life of different peoples. It is concluded that holistic body practices in Eastern cultures were influenced by philosophical and religious teachings common in the area, and therefore gradually became an expression of a peculiar worldview in which bodily perfection is harmoniously interconnected with spiritual development.
