A cold-resistant soybean cultivar of the northern ecotype Barguzin

The cold-resistant soybean cultivar of the northern ecotype Barguzin was selected from the hybrid combination F4 L-2577 x Aldana according to the traits of cold and frost resistance and a reduced reaction for a day length. Additionally, the degree of cold resistance of this cultivar we evaluated by the cryosedimentation method. Variety Barguzin belongs to a very early group of ripeness, which matures in 94 days at the latitude of Krasnodar (45°), and in yield it is not inferior to the standard cultivar Lira, in the competitive variety test in 2018-2019 it amounted to 1.01-1.31 t per ha. During the agroecological testing of the cultivar Barguzin in Irkutsk at a latitude of 52°, the duration of the vegetation period of this cultivar was 114-116 days with a yield of 1.22-1.28 t per ha, which exceeded the standard cultivar No. 15 by 0.50.6 t per ha.
