In recent years, the study of thyroid function during pregnancy, including the amount of antibodies to the thyroid gland (AT-TG) during the period of pregnancy and its effects and implications on pregnancy outcomes, has been on the focus of the study of all endocrinologists, obstetrician-gynecologists and pediatrician. Particularly, on the process of dysfunction of the thyroid gland, hypothyroidism plays a key role, and this affects the development of the fetus. This article discusses the changes that can be observed during pregnancy in patients with autoimmune thyroiditis.
