The historical genetic and cultural semantic interpretation of the main events of the genealogical myth of the Buryat tribe Khori with the content of the petroglyphs of the northern shore of the Baikal − Sagan-Zaba and Aya Bays, given in the article, allows to see the cult of the sun there that conditioned the type of calendar of the solar year and model of calendar rituals of the early nomads of the steppes of Central Asia. The comparison of the characters and key events of the myth with the materials of the rock art of the northern shore of the Baikal, Western Mongolia, Altai and Tuva refers its historical and cultural origin to the archaeological Scythian-Siberian culture of the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age.
