Horolors: ethnic and folklore characteristics and Buryat parallels

The article deals with the tribe horo which due to its Mongolian origin takes a special place in the general genesis of Turkic speaking Sakha-Yakut people. It is stated that echoes of the former ethno-cultural common character of horolors with the Mongol world are found in a number of folklore-mythological parallels. The tradition of non-fairytale prose of horolors (myths and legends), as well as the toponymy data remind of their Kurykan past and their links with the Baikal area and Buryat tribes
