How to create peace on earth?

There is only one step from peace to war.

The social events following economical laws made for the development of the society are social and economical preconditions of wars. The key to understanding of war should be found in social and economical conditions of people’s lives. War begins on certain stages of social development and in most cases when the ruling class uses the army as a tool of oppression against other people or when many countries obey the will of one country.

War is an inevitable thing in the area of politics crisis and economics. During 130 years there have been about twenty great wars on our planet including two world wars. The historical conditions of wars are different. The character and purposes of war change in every historical period. One of the main reasons of war is the desire to have a lot of money. The power over weak countries and turning them into colonies, the pursuit to have more natural resources and new markets have become the main reasons of wars in the last 20th and the beginning of the 21st centuries. All the great historians of different times considered and still consider that the basis of war is the ruling class that strives for having huge lands and manpower.

What is peace? In our understanding peace is when in any country one person respects other person, norms and principles of social life are fulfilled, when parents bring up honest children, when there are no lies or betrayal.

What must we do to build peace in the world? It is difficult to keep harmony and balance. And it is a man to blame, a man who can’t keep balance in his inner world. Greed, meanness, envy, anger, makes him unbalanced and he starts to destroy himself first and then the world around.

We are now on the critical stage in the history of the Earth, when the humanity must choose its future. As the World becomes interdependent and fragile we must realize that having a great variety of cultures and ways of life we are a single world community with a common destiny.

The Earth is our universal home. The humanity is a part of a huge developing universe. The powers of the nature make the existence dangerous and unpredictable, however the Earth provides all the things necessary for the development of living conditions. The concern about global environment the resources of which are not infinite is the task of all nations, the protection of the

Earth, its variety and beauty – this is what builds peace for all the people in the world.

To build peace on the Earth we must create a universal commonwealth and care about the planet, about each other or otherwise risk destroying ourselves, everything that surrounds us and also the diversity of our world. We need fundamental changes in our system of values, structures and ways of life, we must realize that while satisfying the living needs of a person, our values should be directed to the spiritual growth but not to the material enrichment. The mankind has knowledge and technologies to provide with everything that people need, and also our ability to affect the environment. The appearance of one civil society gives the chance to build a democratic and humane world, where the word about war is forgotten. Humanity should pour thoughts freely and live with the feeling of common responsibility. We are inhabitants of different countries but we are part of our united world. Each of us is responsible for the present and the future of all the living things in the world.

I think that we can build peace on Earth if we try to:

• •    save the riches and the beauty of the Earth for the present and future generations;

• •    create the right, open and peace-loving democratic societies;

• •    take care of natural world and treat it with understanding, sympathy and love;

• •    protect and save the integrity of ecosystem of the Earth, maintaining natural resources;

• •    apply such methods of production and reproduction ecologically pure products for the consumption of the humanity;

• •    recognize the poverty eradication with the ethnic and social community, make the economical activities keep up a stable development of spirit of justice on all levels;

• •    strengthen democratic institutions on all stages, ensure transparency and accountability in governance, and also take part in making decisions and access to justice;

• •    respect the rights of all people in the world;

Let our time be left in the memory of humanity as the time of awakening of reverence for life, a firm commitment to achieve a stable way of life, the growing desire for justice and peace. All these main principles will provide the creation of the peace and kindness of all the people living in the world.
