The economy of the mountain-forest bashkirs of the Southern Ural in the conditions of the civil war

The article is devoted to the development of the economy of the Bashkirs in the mountain-forest regions of the Southern Urals during the period of deep economic and political transformations of 1917-1920. Based on the analysis of the primary documents of the 1920 agricultural census from the National Archives of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the author examines changes in agriculture and handicrafts of the Bashkirs in three volosts of Lesser Bashkiria.
