The temple on Cape Obryvisty is the second building of religious character to have been studied in the territory of Primorye. The building dates from the 12 th-13 th centuries, its area totals 160 sq. m. The long side of the construction has a NE/SW orientation. The entrance was arranged on the narrow side in the south-western part and supplied with a porch. The floor in the centre of the building has been raised slightly to separate an altar area. The roof of the temple is gabled. It has no moulded decoration. To judge by the temple’s architectural and structural features, this Jurchen cultic building was erected in keeping with all the canons of Buddhist architecture.
