Specific features of structure and content of the old-believers' manuscript composition «The Christian's Secure Shield of Faith» are subject to analysis in the article. The analysis reveals that the manuscript's author monk Avraamii prepared the quoted material so as to convince reader of the truth of the old-believers' point of view. Thus he transformed a number of heterogenous fragments into the original work.
