The Christian symbolism of flowers in V.V. Hoffmann`s lyrics

Lyrics by V. V. Hoffmann (The Book of Introductions, 1904 The Trial, 1910) is investigated in the aspect of connections with the evangelical text. It is mentioned that the evangelical motives are, first of all, connected with flowers image. It is underlined that flowers play an important part in creation the image of the Distant (Lady), the main image in the poet’s works. The flower in Hoffmann’s lyrics is the marker of the paradise place – the place of eternity, truth, harmony. In couclususion inference about the Bible layer’s conceptualism in Hoffmann’s lyrics is made.
