In this paper we studied the chemical, in particular amino acid, the composition of grain Amaranthus hypochondriacus. By means of paper chromatography in the seeds of amaranth were detected following amino acids: cysteine, lysine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, alanine, proline, valine, methionine, and leucine.
