Deep-rooted post-thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension

Foreign and home literature analysis relating to the current state of surgical treatment of patients suffering from deep-rooted post-thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (DRTPHT) is given. Also disclosed are clinical and pathophysiological preconditions for DRTPHT development, its clinical and diagnostic features. Some approaches to selection of patients for surgery, as well as advantages of surgical treatment are analyzed. The immediate results of surgical treatment of patients with DRTPHT are presented.
