Evolution of administrative and territorial system of Jewish autonomous region as reflected in the archival documents

In the article it is considered the history of Jewish Autonomous Region as the first Jewish national and territorial unit in the Russian Far East. The author has systematized the main documents on administrative and territorial transformations in Jewish Autonomous Region, and made the analysis of the Jewish population migration in Russia and the Russian Far East. The article is based on archival documents, books, articles and reports by Russian and foreign writers and scientists.
