Chronobiology of ICU mortality. Controllable and uncontrollable factors

Mortality in ICU patients depends on both the timeliness of the beginning of care, and the initial state of the body, the severity of the disease. Meanwhile, a study conducted in homogeneous patient cohorts has shown that non-medical factors, in particular those affecting physiology, namely the chronobiology of the critical condition, can also influence ICU mortality. Further research in this area may help to improve treatment outcomes.
