During the Soviet period, the fiction of the USSR peoples developed in line with all-union trends in close interaction and mutual enrichment. The main for it is the method of socialist realism, which is used as a means of reflecting current reality and aimed at the development of ideological in content and national in form of the Soviet culture. The aim of the present article is to study the main stages in the development of fiction in Kabardino-Balkaria (30-80s of the XX century) in the context of interethnic interactions. The novelty of the work is due to the study of the problems of the development of Soviet fiction as a multinational phenomenon, formed under the impact of various ethnic and global artistic trends. The relevance of the topic is determined by the need to analyze Soviet fiction in the context of current global trends of ethnic cultures unification.
