Literary particularities of Nihzegorodskiy travel essays at the end of the XIX century

The article analyzes the literary features of the travel essays represented in the local newspaper «Nizhegorodskiye gubernskIye vedomosty» at the end of the XIX century. The most interesting texts such as “From Travel Excursions” by A.P. Melnikov and “In the Riverhead of the Volga” by unknown author are being examined in order to find out particularities of their methods.
