The article studies the poetics in the drama of Mari writer Yu. Baiguzov. Considering the stylistics of parables, the author characterizes the genre specifications of the plays: “Silk Swing” and “Dawn of the Abyss”. Much attention is paid to national symbols, originality of the remarks and the language of the characters.
