Artistic and language features of migration literature

Fiction has always reflected events taking place in society throughout its history. This very function is also found in the books written by migrants. Rafik Schami, Yüksel Pazarkaya and Wladimir Kaminer have become one of the most famous writers of foreign origin who touch on routine issues of German society. Combination of two diverse cultures in migrants’ literature - of their origin and German - creates new cultural perception which focuses not on assimilation, but on preserving their cultural identity.
