Artistic principles of pointillism in modern digital media technologies

The study discusses Seurat’s major artistic principles and examines how his contemporaries viewed these principles. First, modern technical and creative solutions in the field of media technology are presented, which are partially or completely similar to the ideas of Seurat in the field of color transmission and his color wheel. Then, the laws of color, which were developed by the artist, are described. Finally, the role of the color point and the combination of color points for the formation of perception in the transmission of color in a painting is defined. The study looked for connections between pointillism’s artistic principles and contem porary media technologies found in gaming, television, the Internet, printing, cinema, design, and pixel art.
