The research methodology is based on the integrated approach principle and the method of artistic and stylistic analysis. The method of investigation was determined by the goal of studying church monastic art at the turn of the XIX th century and beginning of the XX th. The objects of the church were considered as works of arts and crafts participating in the liturgy. The artistic and stylistic method of analyzing works made it possible to reveal the influence of secular and folk embroidery elements on the ornamentation of church embroidery.
