Artistic porcelain of the Bronnitsy porcelain factory "Vozrozhdenie"

The article examines the artistic features of the products of the Bronnitsy Porcelain Factory «Vozrozhdenie» (hereinafter referred to as the «Vozrozhdenie» Factory) in the Novgorod region, founded in 1966 as a souvenir factory. The research centers around the principal stages in the development of porcelain production in Novgorod and the artworks of certain craftsmen. The continuous search for novelty, originality and uniqueness of items manufactured at the «Vozrozhdenie» Factory ensured that the brand-new unforgettable arrangements, sets, small-size sculpture became an integral part of the daily culture of Novgorodians in 1966-1990s. Tamara Alexandrovna Gavrilova and Vladimir Vladimirovich Smolyar - the lead artists at the porcelain factory - elaborated the stylistic and technological concept of the manufacture; the research focuses on their creativity in more detail. The article seeks to carry out an art critical analysis of the artistic porcelain of the souvenir enterprise «Vozrozhdenie» Factory, to reveal the peculiarities of forming, decorating, and variety of themes and motifs of the artworks. However, over the years, the «Vozrozhdenie» Factory has developed a profound artistic culture, and works by Novgorod porcelain artists have been successfully exhibited at major expositions in the country and abroad; there are currently no scientific publications related to the study of the history and analysis of porcelain sculpture.
