The artistic world of S. A. Klychkov is considered from the point of view of interaction of realistic and romantic types of creativity in axiological, ontological and socio-cultural aspects; the influence of folklore on Klychkov’s poetry is shown. The national principle is recognized as the dominant of the poet’s artistic world, its connection with the Orthodox axiology is revealed.
