Boasting in Kalmyk, Russian and English linguocultures

The article is devoted to the concept "boasting". The main components of this concept in Kalmyk, Russian and English are exposed by their interpretation in different dicttionaries and thesaurus. The comparison of the indication which are correlated with the concept shows that they coincide to a considerable extent. The revealed differences touch upon appreciation peculiarities of the compared language pictures of the world.
