The aim of this study is to identify the geopolitical specificity of Kazakhstan during the presidency of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The article examines the evolution of the country’s foreign policy from the period of Nursultan Nazarbayev to the current stage. Particular emphasis is placed on the transformation of the multi-vector policy from a strategy of balancing into an instrument for actively shaping regional agency. The theoretical framework of the study highlights adaptability, openness, and rationality as key characteristics of Kazakhstan’s contemporary geopolitics. The article analyzes the main directions of foreign policy, including the development of the Turkic vector, cooperation in the transport and logistics sphere, and geo-economic projects. The findings of the research contribute to a deeper understanding of Kazakhstan’s current role in the system of international relations.

«Soft power» is a foreign policy strategy based not on coercion, but on the attractiveness of culture, values, ideology and foreign policy of the state. State (national) branding is a strategic process of forming, managing and promoting a country's image on the international arena to enhance its prestige, competitiveness, attract tourists, investors and talents. This is an integrated approach that combines the unique characteristics of the state, its culture, values and economic advantages. The purpose of this study is to assess the role of cultural interaction between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan with the United States of America today. The study demonstrates that for the United States, cultural cooperation serves as a tool for strengthening their ideological and humanitarian presence in the region, while for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, cultural diplomacy is a channel for fostering a positive international image and advancing national interests. Based on an analysis of key areas of humanitarian interaction, the authors conclude that cultural diplomacy contributes to strengthening international agency, developing foreign policy resilience, and enhancing the global competitiveness of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

Американское лидерство: ненужная стратегия в нужный момент

The article deals with the problems of preserving American leadership within the framework of the emerging system of international relations at the beginning of the 21st century. The author of the given article examines the scenarios and tools used by the USA in the process of implementing foreign policy on the Eurasian continent. The research consists of American and Russian studies which formed the basis for modern political discourse on the preservation of American leadership positions. Events occurred between September 11, 2001 and February 2018 were taken as the examples. At the end of the article the author concludes the problems that underlie American superiority.

Интеграционные форматы в современной внешней политике Казахстана

This study explores the role and significance of integration formats in shaping contemporary Kazakhstan’s foreign policy. It examines Kazakhstan’s participation in major economic and military-political organizations, including the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), and China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The analysis demonstrates that involvement in these frameworks contributes to strengthening Kazakhstan’s international standing and advancing its strategic priorities. The research is grounded in the theoretical principles of the geoeconomic approach, which conceptualizes foreign policy as an instrument for pursuing national interests through economic, political, and infrastructural mechanisms. The empirical foundation of the study draws on official documents, analytical reports, and scholarly publications from Kazakhstan, Russia, and other Central Asian countries. The findings suggest that Kazakhstan’s engagement in integration formats enables it to balance economic pragmatism with the implementation of a multi-vector foreign policy, thereby consolidating its influence and credibility on the international stage.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the use of non-profit organizations as a tool for lobbying political initiatives. The author analyzes the role of non-profit sector in the political process through the prism of the participation of public organizations in promoting and making politicaldecisions. In addition, the author adresses the model of interaction between non-profit organizations within an artificially created system. The article emphasizes the ability of non-profit organizations to mobilize activists to participate in the promotion of civil initiatives, as well as the interests of other participants in the political process.

The author states the increase in the risks of using nuclear weapons due to the growing conflict dynamics in the confrontation between countries with nuclear weapons.

Статья посвящена сравнению современных идеологий «партий власти», являющихся стержнем партийных систем в Республике Казахстан и Российской Федерации. Автор статьи анализирует идеологические акценты, которые являются наиболее притягательными для электората. Рассматриваемая проблематика является актуальной для стран постсоветского пространства по причине процесса политической модернизации, который протекает с момента распада СССР. Феномен «Партий власти» характерен для обществ с политической культурой, находящейся в состоянии транзита, где существует объективная потребность в сильном централизованном управлении. Данное исследование проходило в рамках сравнительного подхода и учитывало функциональную специфику партий «Нур Отан» и «Единая Россия». Теоретическую основу исследования составляют работы известных философов, таких как Де Траси, Ленк К. и др., которые внесли неоспоримый вклад в концептуальное изучение политических идеологий.

In this article the author examines the problem of the geopolitical inluence of the United States of America in the context of the struggle for leadership in the modern world. The author singles out Moscow and Beijing as the main opponents of Washington. The subject of analysis is the US desire to maintain its inluence on the Eurasian continent. The author comes to the conclusion that the main American advantage remains the armed forces but time is against the United States.

Экономический пояс Шёлкового пути: геополитические риски

В статье рассматриваются геополитические риски реализации китайской инициативы «Экономический пояс Шёлкового пути» в контексте обеспечения региональной безопасности. Анализируются экономические и политические интересы стран- участниц проекта, а также потенциальные угрозы, связанные с международной конкуренцией, внутриполитической нестабильностью, миграционными процессами и информационным противостоянием. Особое внимание уделяется роли России, Китая и стран Центральной Азии в формировании новых транспортных коридоров. Рассматриваются возможности международного сотрудничества в рамках Шанхайской организации сотрудничества для противодействия возникающим угрозам. Сделан вывод о необходимости согласования интересов государств-участников и формирования эффективных механизмов обеспечения безопасности для успешной реализации инициативы.
