Ideas and experience of education of gender-role culture in traditional Kyrgyz society

Based on ethnographic and folklore materials, the proposed article aims to identify the features of gender-role culture in traditional Kyrgyz society as a component of national education. The content of educating young people in a gender-role culture is analyzed within the framework of the study at the border of the thematic significance of such topics as; “Mutual complementarity of spouses”, “Hardworking, availability, criticality”, “Continue the family and become parents”, “Birth of children from a legal marriage (nikah)”, “Pedagogical function of parental role”, “Preserving the national norms of marital relations” in the Kyrgyz society . The study notes that matching the gender identity of men and women with their social roles is considered a serious socio-pedagogical task in the Kyrgyz culture. Marital relations are aimed at complementarity and mutual understanding. At the same time, they emphasized the role of a woman as the guardian of the heart and family in gender-role relations. The main core of the gender-role culture is the readiness of the spouses to their activities to correctly and accurately fulfill their parental duties. The task of introducing children to the patterns and norms of the gender-role culture in society was a subject of special pedagogical concern, starting from infancy, when they still did not understand anything, until the creation of a family.
