Paradoxically, in the 21st century there is a growing interest in a new reading of Plato's work "Laws, or About Legislation". The fact is that many of the philosophical ideas presented in this treatise have stood the test of time, for example, the principle that no person should be free from the rule of law, about the mixed structure of the state. In this article, the author discusses how and why Plato's views changed in the treatise "Laws, or On Legislation" (compared to his treatise "The State").
