Idea of transfrontier television in Europe and its resonance in Russia

This article presents the rationale for transfrontier television concept. The problem of TV modeling and programming is analyzed in line with the idea of the European Union. It examines the possibility of using international experience in organizing subregional broadcasting in Russia. The material may be the object of interest to researchers of mass communications, media managers and government organizations that are responsible for licensing broadcasters.
