The article deals with the idea of "inner Christian life" - the most complex, synthetic concept by its nature, which is determined by the fusion of personal (emotional, intellectual, volitional) and supernumerary principles, determines the synthetic (prosaic and poetic) nature of Zhukovsky's late prosaic writings, diverse and fuzzy genre features, but united by the search for the meaning of the earthly life of man and society as a whole.
